Hello lovely people, hope that you are all well and are looking forward to seeing what I have as inspiration for you? I wanted to share this layout with you all a bit earlier in the year but I submitted it for the Scrapbooking Memories Magazine Masters Competition and have only just received it back.
For this layout the theme was to use stencils, which was great as it allows me to show off the Colour Blast products with ease. Colour Blast and stencils go hand in hand!
In my excitement creating this I didn't take as many photos as I usually do whilst creating so please excuse the lack of photos. If you need any clarification on any of the steps, please ask them in the comments section and I will get back to you.
Many months ago I hand cut a stencil to use with another layout I did (you can view it here) and I keep the cut out piece to use later on....and finally I am doing that on this layout. I placed the cut out arrow heart in the middle of some white cardstock and sprayed over the top of it with Colour Sprays in Bubblegum, and Rainforest. then Royalty Colour Shimmer Spray.
When the sprays were dry I used one of my favourite Colour Pastes, Snow White and a delicate flower stencil. I simply used a plastic tool and spread it like butter over the stencil and onto where I had applied the sprays.
For the title I used the Colour Shimmer Cubes and painted splotches of colour onto some scrap cardstock, then used my Cameo Silhouette to cut the words. The colours I used were; Envy, Lipstick, Punch and a touch of Deep Water. I did cut the title out again with some patterned paper at this stage too as I wanted to give the title an offset backing.
Here you can see the Colour Shimmer Cubed watercolours on the title with the backing of the patterned paper. To finish off the layout I simply added some patterned paper as a backing to the cardstock and photo, some diecuts and adhered the title in place. An easy layout that looks simply stunning because of the quality of the Colour Blast products.
Thanks for stopping in and I hope that I inspired you to get your stencils out and to use your Colour Blast stash.
